Why does the water sometimes look “milky” after installing the RO?
Because sometimes there are compressed air bubbles left inside the membrane, and sometimes there is more pressure than necessary in the water tank. This “milky” or “Alka Seltzer” effect shall eventually disappear. Simply drain all the water in the RO tank once every night for a few days, until this minor effect disappears. Please note that this does not affect the quality of the purified water produced by the RO.
Reminder: We recommend completely draining the water from the RO tank at least twice a month; this is good for the membrane and helps the tank provide “new, fresh” water.
